Five Minute Friday, Feb 7 – Write

Words,

Thoughts.

Words… Write

What to Write

Why to Write

Where to Write

When to Write

Who to Write

All these questions.  All these words.

Who I write about, depends upon circumstances.  Things that make me smile, laugh, cry, hurt.  It’s not just who,

but it’s also what

When do you write?  I write all the time.  When I am reading, watching TV, playing with the dog, on the phone, it

doesn’t matter.  If there is a pen/pencil and a piece of paper, I am doodling, writing or drawing.

Where do I write? I write anywhere and everywhere.  It doesn’t matter.  I love to write, draw, doodle so I will do it

anywhere

I write because it makes me happy, I write to release, I write for for fun, I write to make other’s happy, I write,

because my heart needs to pour out and that is the only way I feel comfortable.

What to write?   I will write about anything that I feel some anxiety about, excitement about, scared about, or any

other emotion.

Writing is a passion, While my grammar stinks, my grammatical makeup stinks even worse, and being able to make

a pencil flow, or my fingertips hum, it doesn’t matter.

I just want to write.

Five Minute Friday

Five Minute Friday

Wow, I’m late again….  I love to write, and I have no gift, so that means, that you can write too!!!

Five Minute Friday (from Lisa’s Blog)

::
So, here’s the skinny: every Friday for going on four years now hundreds of people have joined a kind of writing flash mob over here.

We write for five minutes flat. All on the same prompt that I post here at 1 minute past midnight EST ever Friday. And we connect on Twitter with the #FMFParty (It stands for Five Minute Friday Party).

No extreme editing; no worrying about perfect grammar, font, or punctuation.

Unscripted. Unedited. Real.

It started because I’d been thinking about writing and how often our perfectionism gets in the way of our words. And I figured, why not take 5 minutes and see what comes out: not a perfect post, not a profound post, just five minutes of focused writing.

So now on Fridays a group of people who love to throw caution to the wind and just write without worrying if it’s just right gather to share what five minutes buys them. Just five minutes.

Your words. This shared feast.

It’s easy to join in, just:

  1. Check what the prompt is on my Lisa Jo Baker’s Blog.
  2. Write a post in only five minutes on that topic on your blog.
  3. {And if you don’t have a blog, no worries! Just leave your writing as a comment on my post}
  4. Link over to Lisa’s blog and invite friends to join in.
  5. Select the permalink to your post {so not your blog url http://www.lisajobaker.com but your post urlhttp://www.lisajobaker.com/2012/07/five-minute-friday-2/ }
  6. Using the blue linky tool at the bottom of Lisa’ Five Minute Friday post enter your link.
  7. It will also walk you through selecting which photo you want to show up in the linky.
  8. Your post will show up in our Five Minute Friday linky.
  9. Be sure and encourage the person who linked up before you!

Our most important requirement for participation: There’s really only one absolute, no ifs, ands or buts about it Five Minute Friday rule: you must visit the person who linked up before you & encourage them in their comments. Seriously. That is, like, the rule. And the fun. And the heart of this community.

  2. Relating with you on your post. 🙂 Especially, “because my heart needs to pour out”

    Writing for some of us is the best way to express ourselves creatively.

    Sounds like you may understand me when I say that it is easier for me to get my words out through writing than it is through speaking. Yay for Writing! Keep on going. May your continued writing journey be blessed and a blessing to others!
