Same Time, Same Day, Every Year

I had the unpleasant experience of going to a big box store today. On Valentine’s Day. it reminded me of Christmas Eve. Everyone running around, like chickens with their heads cut off, looking for that last-minute gift to give to a person to show their undying love.

Wow… you wait to the LAST minute, LAST day, LAST hour, to get something for the person that you vow that you will love for the rest of your life and with all your heart! Mind you, I wasn’t there at 6 am this morning, I was there at 4 PM this afternoon, February 14, 2014. Valentine’s Day (almost over, actually, less than 1/2 way over)

The point I am getting at is this… This day, like Christmas, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Halloween, etc. you get the point… Steady, never-failing, ever the same…. we as people are exactly the same…. every year, we never change, waiting till the last-minute to do everything… because we are either lazy, complacent, I dunno..

I am so thankful that God is never faltering, never-failing, never MOVING.. He s always the same, the same love! Isn’t that amazing! That we go to him and we always know that he will be there… always!!! What an amazing promise that is!

To me the verses that come to mind are Jeremiah 29:11 and Ephesians 2:10. You can look them up yourselves. Jeremiah 29:11 says that God knows the plans He has for us (not just our names). Ephesians says that those plans were laid out in advance. Now, we just have to listen and learn what those plans are. He is calling us, are we listening? – Bob Marshall, “Paul Baloche – The Same Love – YouTube.” Insert Name of Site in Italics. N.p., n.d. Web. 15 Feb. 2014 <;

The calendar is laid out in advance and we stumble around and miss appointments, miss dates, miss holidays, but the thing we have for certain, is God’s Unfailing Love

The Same Love

Every Day

Every Hour

Every Second
