My Review

when an orphan brings two people together, a range of emotions can come forward.  Anger, frustration, separation, togetherness and maybe even love

While Anthony is a 9-year-old little boy who has so much in common with two wonderful people in his life.

tragedy strikes and brings them all entwined together.  When Anthony’s mommy Lucinda passes away after having a long illness.

Miss Dawson, the school teacher who has been Anthony’s caregiver while his mom’s illness would keep her from doing so.  Also Lucinda has asked Miss Dawson to take care of Anthony after she passed away.

Then comes Silas, who says he was married to Lucinda 10 years ago and that he should be taking care of Anthony because…. well go check out the book and see what happens to the little boy Anthony.

As well as orphans Kate and Silas.  The three of them have so much in common than one would think.  Will their past destroy their future, or can they all three overcome and beat that past.

This book is a great feel good book!  To go from a mail-order bride  and a compulsive runner and a man with a mail order bride that left him and an alcoholic to… well you will need to read the book to see where they go from here!!!

A Bride At Last by Melissa Jagears,  even though it is part of a series, is a great stand-alone book. I cannot wait to read the rest of the series that have been in the series as well as those to come!
